I've called Midway home for nearly 20 years. When my family and I decided to put down roots here, it wasn't a hard decision — Midway is easy to love. Now I want to give back to the community that's given us so much. I'm running for City Council to keep Midway moving in the right direction — investing in our parks, making our streets safer, and making sure our infrastructure is ready for the future.

About Harvey

I've spent my career at the Frankfort Plant Board, where over 20 years of working inside a Special Purpose Government Entity has given me a deep appreciation for fiscal responsibility, building consensus, and getting things done within a governmental structure. It's the kind of experience that translates directly to city council work — because I already know how local government operates from the inside.My roots in Midway run just as deep personally. My wife and I have been married for more than 20 years, and we're raising our two sons — ages 11 and 13 — here. They've attended Northside Elementary and Woodford County Schools, and like a lot of Midway parents, I've spent plenty of evenings and weekends coaching basketball at Falling Springs and soccer with the Woodford Youth Soccer Association.For the past eight years I've served on the Northridge Estates Homeowners Association board, including as president since 2023. It's taught me a lot about listening to neighbors, solving real problems, and being accountable to the people you represent.Midway isn't just where I live — it's where I've invested my time, raised my family, and built my life. I'm not running because I want a political career. I'm running because I love this town and want to help make it the best it can be.

PARKSMidway's parks are at the heart of our community — they're where families gather, kids play, and neighbors connect. My family has spent countless days in Midway's parks, and my wife Rachel has served on the board of Friends of Walter Bradley Park. I know firsthand how much these spaces matter, and I'm committed to making sure they're well-maintained, accessible, and something we're all proud of.

SAFE STREETSSpeeding is one of the most consistent concerns I hear from Midway residents. I'll work to slow traffic on our neighborhood streets, improve sidewalks, and better connect the parts of our community that are currently cut off from one another. As a father of two boys who have grown up playing and exploring this town, a walkable, safe Midway isn't just a policy goal — it's personal.

INFRASTRUCTUREThe basics matter. Reliable sewer lines, well-maintained roads, and infrastructure that works aren't glamorous issues, but they're the foundation everything else is built on. After nearly 20 years working at the Frankfort Plant Board, I understand how utilities and public infrastructure operate from the inside — and I'll bring that experience to making sure Midway's infrastructure gets the attention it deserves.
